2025 Jan #11: Portobello Road, Nottingham Hill, Chelsea

It’s Sunday, the day of the Portobello Market, so off we go. Market a bit of a bust, but the Road is very cool. Didn’t get the name of the cafe, dang.

Walked through Nottingham Hill and Holland Park. Hill is posh, park is very nice, home of Holland House, formerly Cope Castle, built in 1605 & partially destroyed by bombing in 1940. Interesting history, and a beautiful park for a stroll. A brisk stroll for us, 37deg

On toward Chelsea, by The Boltons:

In Chelsea, on The King’s Road, bought 2 - count ‘em, 2 - pairs of glasses. Stay tuned, I get them with lenses in a week.
