2024 Nov #8: Mauerfall 35

Nov 9 turns out to be a big day in Berlin, lots of historical events happened on that date. One is the fall of the wall in 1989. So there was a huge celebration today. It was quite touching, you could feel the significance of the event 35 years ago. Along one strectch of where the wall was, near Brandenburg Tor, they'd asked people to make placards, they lined them up:

And they had musicians sign up to be a part a band which was split across multiple venues and played in unison:
