2025 April 27: Pogerola to Amalfi

Scooted to Pogerola, haggled a parking place with the locals, hiked to lunch in Amalfi & back. 6 miles horizontal, 1200’ vertical:

…and for good measure, here’s Piazza San Lazzaro in the early AM. I walked down there ‘cause there’s a public wi-fi & I used it to inform our landlord that ours in the apt was down.


A little background…where to begin…we have no cell service, relying on the kindness of strangers for wi-fi everywhere we go. We have no cell service ‘cause we’re too cheap to cough up the $12/day At&T wants. We can’t get an eSIM ‘cause we can’t ‘unlock’ our phones (I now know what that means: allow us to use a carrier other than AT&T) ‘cause they’re not paid off. So:
