Thu 20th:

Btw we’ve been buying produce at an open air market in town:

There’s a monastery in a village called Savina, a short walk to the east from our apt. We have pics of it in previous posts; we passed it on this stairway on today’s walk:

Sat 22nd:

On a walk through Igalo, to the west around the end of the bay. Looking back at Herceg Novi:

We sat down in a cafe next to this constellation of woman and dogs, and after several minutes she leaned over and said she was a professional photographer and if we’d like, she’d take some pictures and send them to us! Had a nice conversation strolling through town with her snapping photos. Her name’s Jelena (didn’t get last name), interesting life so far including studying in Florida. Haven’t gotten pics yet..

Even longer venture up the slope. Scattered about are some Soviet era architectural experiments that went awry. I’d be remiss if I didn’t include at least one example:

Back to the bayfront, past the Lazure marina. Had one of the best meals so far, at the Baguetteria. Didn’t get a shot of the restaurant, but this poster was in the men’s room:
