Full day on the island May 6. Morning on the Airbnb terrace:

Macchiati & croissants @ the bar (substantial savings if you don’t sit down):

Lots o’ little gardens & lemon trees:
Over to Anacapri on the bus (bought a day pass for the price of 6 one-ways, from the company that runs buses between Capri & Anacapri, which as it turns out is different from the one to the Blue Grotto & the Faro - buyer beware). There is a villa on the edge of the mid-island mountain built in the 19th century by the Swedish doctor Axel Munthe, largely intact, very nice: Villa San Michele. Spent a couple hours poking around, had limoncello spritzes on the terrace:
Back to the Capri side, to the Marina Piccola, kind of a beach club:
(it was here that we witnessed a marriage proposal)
The terrace @ the Airbnb:
Out for dinner & a stroll:
Had a nice dinner, I seem to have neglected to get any photos. It was at Lo Sfizio.
Next day, 4:30 ferry back to Naples, had the day on the island.
Morning on the terrace:

Macchiato & croissants sitting on a terrace (hey it’s the last day):
Bus to Anacapri…:
…and on to The Blue Grotto (inside pics courtesy LMB):
On the prev day, a local on the bus suggested we go to the Faro, on the western tip. So we walked there. Along the way:

There’s a nice cove with a beach club. Had lunch on the terrace (nothing special, but spectacular setting):
Last stop, Augustus’ Garden, on the Capri side:
Walked back through town, stopped @ the Airbnb to pick up our bags:
…and the ferry back to Naples:
Flight to Trondheim (through Milan and Amsterdam) tomorrow @ 8:30, we’d booked a ‘pod’ at this place right next to the airport. You got a 10’ x 12’ space & a couple towels & access to a common bathroom at the end of the hall, for 110e. Worth it to have a night’s sleep and an easy transfer to the terminal in the AM:
The guy at the desk (I was surprised there was a human) recommended this place across the street for dinner. It was a hoot, and the food was good:
When we got back to the ‘hotel’ the guy said they’d called, I’d left my card-key. Went back to get it, one of the employees (fist in the air in the photo) had gone to deliver it, but went to the wrong place. They got him on the phone, he brought it back, I was off. Lots of good vibes.
