Nov 16: SF day 12

Pretty interesting day today. The setup: it's Big Game week. During big game week there is the Big Sail, a set of match races sponsored by the St Francis.

So I was having breakfast in the postage stamp, and happened to look in my e-mail. I am on a list of former sailors, and there was a message addressed to the list..

I replied and headed down there..

There are five divisions: varsity, alum, women, masters & grand masters. Best 2 of 3 in each.

Went out on the pontoon boat carrying the 2nd teams (each division had 2 teams)..

There was no wind, so there was only one race per division & I didn't get to sail. But it was fun being on the water.

Walking home after..

Looking at e-mail after, there were several responses to my response, two from people I knew 30+ years ago & hadn't spoken to since. Been exchanging e-mails since: big fun.
