Up @ 6:45, met the Colombian Mauricio at Tazza d’Oro and toured Highland Park on bikes after a cappuccino.

Rode to Squirrel Hill, on the way discovering Mellon Park, the former Mellon estate. Top of a hill with Herb & Elizabethan Fragrance Garden in expansive lawns with massive sycamores.

Sat for a meditation (OK nap).

Lunch at the two pizza places Caralyn recommended (they’re side by side, I had a slice in each). Caralyn, Aiello’s wins.

From there, through Schenley park to the library to wait out the 87 degree afternoon. Smilla’s is ramping up.

hammocks appear to be popular for studying.

Tried Aldi supermarket for dinner supplement (having tried Whole Foods on Tue and Trader Joe’s yesterday. They target the cost-conscious, but the apple was 20% higher than TJ so it’s back there manana.

Usual delicious dinner of an apple and ear of corn, add’l outlay $1.20. It was my last ear so tomorrow I’ll have to branch out.
