2024 Nov #2: klezmer @ the symphonie

There’s a vine growing attached to the wall behind the hinter hoff, we see it every time we leave or arrive.

There’s a famous Klezmer band from Berlin & they were doing a gig at the Berliner Philharmonie (of all places). We were there.

Afterward we went to a bar recommended by my colleague Luther: Fasanen 47. The door was locked, but some people had just come out. They said 'hang on, he'll come' and after a minute Lurch opened the door and invited us in. Felt like time travel to the '30s or '40s, very elegant & cool, but relaxed. Asked for a menu; while perusing, Lurch came over & demanded we hurry & decide - they only have one menu.
