2024 September #1: the road to Berlin

Arrived back in SF on the Burner Express Bus 09/01, dropped off the Burning Man stuff and picked up the Berlin stuff, and headed out 09/02.

Spent the night with August, who graciously gave me his adult-size bed in his room. He was able to relive all those years we didn't notice he'd outgrown his childhood bed…

After a trip to Urgent Care and a midnight run to a 24-hour pharmacy for an ear infection, got a good night's sleep and headed for the airport on Muni & BART. Quite deep:

Arrived Munich 3 hours (as it turned out) ahead of Leslie. When she arrived, we took an Inter City train to Berlin, arrived in the evening. End-to-end travel time 10:00 AM PDT —> 8:00 PM CEST, = 25 hours. Whew.
