Wednesday the 22nd: tix to a play tonight: hadestown, a musical. Bus down to soho, stroll ‘til showtime (7:30).
Castle Baynard & Postman’s Park, a bit east of SoHo. In the yard of the London City Presbyterian Church is a wall of plaques honoring people who died doing heroic acts. The picture shows 1 of a half-dozen sections:
Mix of old & new, lots of cranes:
High Holborn, a residence where Charles Dickens lived, and Fleet Street, the Royal Courts of Justice:
St Mary Le Strand. King’s College is right there, a nice pedestrian zone:

Fleet Street across from the Courts, stopped into The George for a pint (and a tea, I’m still off the sauce from November’s ordeal):

Then on to Covent Garden, quite lively in the evening:
Cranbourn/St Martins/Long Acre, theater district:
…so finally to the play: Hadestown, a musical twist on the Greek Orpheus & Eurydice. Fantastic!
