2025 Jan #15: St Bride & St Paul

Today’s activity: St Paul’s Cathedral. On the way there, stopped into St Bride’s Church on Fleet St. Much smaller but every bit as interesting historically; spans 1500 years. Must see:
St Paul’s is astonishing on the inside. These’re of the main floor; there’s a crypt below with lots of tombs of people e.g. Isaac Newton, which I failed to photograph:
But the views of the city from the dome (500+ steps) are fantastic. It was cold and windy this day:

We’d also wanted to scope out the area around Spital Market and the Liverpool St train station, where we will get the train to the airport. Here’s that station; modern & pretty grand:
