Sunday 26th, closer to home, walk to see Karl Marx’s tomb in Highgate Cemetary. Engraved in the sidewalk on Cleve Road, typical Brit clarity of purpose:

Quick stop at the WatchHouse in Belsize Park:

Lawn Road, happened across the Isokon Flats. Pretty plain to look at but there was a group of people on the sidewalk looking at it so we snapped a photo. Turns out it’s got a a rich history. Designed for ‘minimalist urban living’ in the early 1930s, occupied over the years by bauhaus architects, writers, socialists. Take a look:

Onward, skirted Hampstead Heath in the rain, through Boris Nemtsov Place & up Swain’s Lane past Holly Village:

…and finally in to the Highgate Cemetary and Karl Marx’s tomb. Btw we knew it was here because we watched Hampstead, a British comedy from 2017 with Brendan Gleason & Diane Keaton. Not great..
