Left PandPMartin at 11AM Thu Jan 9 for a 2PM flight to SF; plenty of time, smooth sailing. Transferred to a 5:35PM flight to London. Uneventful flight, arrived 12 noon Jan 10.

The reason we came to London in the dead of winter (-3c currently) is we got an amazing offer to stay in friends David & Wendy’s flat while they are in Australia. It’s a beautiful flat in a classic old building in West Hampstead, NW6:
The most useful sign in London, literally a life saver, occurs off the sidewalk at many intersections:
We are settled in, with power adapters & breakfast groceries.
