Sunday. Stuck around town...
A cruise ship, the 'Silver Endeavor', arrived in the AM, kinda fun watching it maneuver in:
Up Ascensor El Peral with a crowd of Australians. There's been less english in the air here than anywhere else we've been btw (although Australian is borderline :-). Funny story, an experience I have had myself:
Our house has a fantastic, huge garden, tended lovingly, although a bit hap hazardly, by the family. Nice place for breakfast on a sunny morning:
One of the nicest places in Valparaiso is a former German school from the 19th century that's been recently renovated and expanded into a sort of community center 'Destino Valpraiso', with a brew pub, a couple cafes a couple other shops, and an extensive immigrant museum (more on that later). We had one of our best coffees at the cafe there:
