Passed through the Allegheny Cemetary, which is massive, with a large number of graves from the 19th century..

Then to Lawrenceville, where I happened on the Oldest Family Run Shoe Store in the Country. They punched another hole in my too-big sandal — much happier..

Then across a hollow..
Ro the Hill District. I am used to the tops of the hills being the most valuable places, but here it seems to be the opposite. I suppose it’s because you can’t get there in the winter..?..
Then downtown / civic center..
Lunch @ Market Square (margharita pizza and a glass of red wine)..

Finished The Mysteries of Pittsburgh in my office at the Carnegie Library..

Back through Lawrenceville, where I watched some of the US Open semi-finals in Caralyn’s The Abbey (those’re beer taps)..

Then The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie (you know, French surrealist film from 1972 — tres bizarre) in an independent cinema.
Home for capellini Al pomodoro.
That is all.
