Toured Friendship and Bloomfield boroughs. Tried to capture ‘typical Pittsburgh architecture’..
That last one shows the effect of the air pollution of the early 20th century; the one on the left was cleaned.
A striking attribute of Pittsburgh is the ‘Hollows’. The entire city is criss-crossed by these 100’ deep ravines, at the bottom of which are RR tracks and associated industries. They’ve built huge bridges crossing them at strategic points. One such Hollow separates Bloomfield and North Oakland boroughs..
Kielbasa for lunch at a hot dog stand..
Back through ShadySide to caffeinate for the afternoon’s read, ran into this fellow. He doesn’t believe in talent, just hard work. Maybe, to an extent..

Cafe had a NY times, read about Portugal and Spain’s advanced renewable energy infrastructure saving the EU’s bacon now that Russian gas is a problem. The bad news: the majority seems to come from LNG imports from US and Africa.
To the library for my afternoon read, then home. nice sky..
That is all.
